RELEASE ON RECEIPT
Oberlin College Graduating Seniors from Lorain County
Elyria
Kirk J. Warren, of Eighth Street, Elyria, OH, will receive a bachelor
of arts degree from Oberlin College with a major in chemistry.
North Ridgeville
Spencer S. Myer III, son of Mr. Spencer Jr. and Ms. Claudia Myer,
Mills Creek Lane, North Ridgeville, OH, will receive a bachelor of music
degree from the Oberlin College Conservatory with a major in pianoforte
performance. Myer received two prizes: the Faustina Hurlbutt Prize, which
is given to an outstanding student in piano, cello, violin or singing,
and the Piano Faculty Prize in Accompanying, which is awarded to a graduating
senior who has demonstrated excellence in accompanying singers and instrumentalists.
He was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, Theta Chapter, the Music Honorary
Society. He is a graduate of North Ridgeville High School.
Oberlin
Todd M. Bailey, son of Mr. Scott and Mrs. M. J. Bailey, N. Professor
Street, Oberlin, OH, will receive a bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin
College with a double major in biology and English. He is enrolled in
the honors program. Bailey received the Dudley Tenney Prize, given to
a graduating senior majoring in English literature and enrolled in the
honors program, who has the highest grade point average in courses taken
in mathematics and natural sciences. He is a 1996 graduate of Oberlin
High School.
South Amherst
Sarah N. Bilancini, daughter of Mr. Dale and Mrs. Rita Bilancini,
Annis Road, South Amherst, OH, will receive a bachelor of arts degree
from Oberlin College with a major in biology. She is a 1996 graduate of
Firelands High School.
Wellington
John M. Knight, son of Dr. John and Ms. Kay Knight, Grand Avenue,
Wellington, OH, will receive a bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College
with a double major in history and politics. His father is professor of
music education and chair of the conducting division at the Oberlin College
Conservatory of Music, and his mother is developmental mathematics instructor
in the College's learning assistance studies program. He is a graduate
of Wellington High School.

Note
Also graduating this year is Blair E. Evans, daughter of Mr. Andrew
and Ms. Nancy Evans, Forest Road, Lakewood, OH, who will receive a bachelor
of arts degree from Oberlin College with a major in art history. Her father
is Oberlin College vice president of finance. She is a graduate of Western
Reserve Academy.
