DESCRIPTION
The bat is hung by the handle from a string.  Strike the bat with the mallet.  Compare the motion of the bat when it is struck at the center of percussion to its motion when struck at other locations.

A computer-interfaced microphone can be used to show the sound spectrum that results when the bat is struck.

NOTES

        The metal hanger is used to suspend the bat from one of the pipes in W107.
