OCircus! OCircus! is Oberlin College's largest student performance organization. They put on at least two official shows each year, and can be seen practicing in Hales Gymnasium, at TGIF, and in most vacant spaces on campus. OCircus! welcomes all talents (and people who claim not to have any), including object manipulation (juggling, contact juggling, poi, staff, rope dart, devil sticks, diabolo, etc.), human manipulation (tumbling, acrobalance, dance, contact improvisation, etc.), clowning, aerials, unicycling, technical theater skills, and more!
The School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA) SANCA is a circus arts school located in Seattle, WA and is one of the largest circus schools in the country. Over the years we have cultivated a great relationship with them, from sending students to do a 3 week intensive circus arts Winter Term project in January to having students go on to train and become teachers of circus arts once they graduate. Their 3 week intensive is highly recommended for people looking to get more involved in circus outside of Oberlin.
Oberlin Tumbling Club The Oberlin College Tumbling Club is our sister club at Oberlin. If you want to learn the arts of tumbling, acrobatics, acrobalance, or just awesome and creative ways to move, tumbling club is the place to go. We put on a joint showcase with them each semester. Tumbling club is open to anybody, regardless of prior experience.
