The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Sept. 4, 8:29 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to the report of a missing cash box which was left unattended on the floor of a computer room in Mudd Library. Student had forgotten to take the box when leaving the room. Loss of $10 to $20.00.

9:20 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to Baldwin in reference to a Mac Powerbook missing with its box from storage. Value approximately $1200. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 5, 3:50 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to Wilder in reference to a staff member who had tripped and cut his forehead. Staff member transported to his physician's office where he was treated and released.

Sept. 6, 1:41 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a white male, age 40, 6' tall, exposing himself near Old Barrows driveway. Oberlin Police and Safety and Security attempted to locate subject. Under investigation.

2:08 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of twelve exercise mats belonging to the Akido club missing from Hales Gym. Two mats were located being used elsewhere in the building. Attempts made to locate additional mats in use that should not have been removed.

3:06 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a minor non-injury motor vehicle accident at the Field House Parking Lot. Vehicle backing to allow another to enter struck vehicle in exit line.

4:56 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a theft of cash and pager from a locker in Philips Gym. No signs of forced entry. Oberlin Police also responded for a report. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 7, 10:07 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a bag containing wallet, cash, VHS tapes, and CD's missing from Stevenson Hall. Bag had been forgotten by student.

Sept. 8, 6:30 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to the report of a missing fanny pack at Philips Gym. Gym member had left fanny pack on floor outside racquetball court. Pack was located with only $1.50 in cash missing.

11:41 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to the report of a student at Kade receiving a harassing phone call. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 10, 11:40 a.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of an injury in Dascomb kitchen. Employee had cut finger on mechanical slicer. Employee was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital; treated and released.

5:07 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of an injured student at Dascomb Hall. Student injured by accidentally striking face against door jam. Transported to Allen Memorial Hospital; treated and released.

10:45 a.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a smoke alarm at Asia House which had malfunctioned twice. College electricians will repair detector.

6:00 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a missing wallet at Philips Gym. Wallet was taken from pants left on bench in men's locker room. Matter under investigation.

6:25 p.m. Violin reported missing at the Conservatory at 10:20 p.m. 09/02/97 was found to have been sent in for repair.

7:10 p.m. Safety and Security Officer responded to a report that the locking mechanism of an office cabinet had been tampered with. No entry was gained; paper and envelope storage only.
