Sept. 8, 6:30 p.m. Officer responded to the report of a missing fanny pack at Philips Gym. Gym member had left fanny pack on floor outside racquetball court. Pack was located with only $1.50 in cash missing.

11:41 p.m. Officer responded to the report of a student at Kade receiving a harassing phone call. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 9, 11:51 a.m. Officer responded to a fire alarm at Fairchild house kitchen caused by smoke from cooking. Oberlin Fire Department responded, also. Smoke from cooking set off detectors; exhaust fans were run to dissipate smoke.

2:10 p.m. Officer responded to a request to view a damaged door hasp in the vacant director's apartment of Harkness. Apartment has been open for approximately two weeks. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 10, 10:45 a.m. Officer responded to a smoke alarm at Asia House which had malfunctioned twice. College electricians will repair detector.

11:40 a.m. Officer responded to a report of an injury in Dascomb kitchen. Employee had cut finger on mechanical slicer. Employee was transferred to Allen Memorial Hospital; treated and released.

7:10 p.m. Officer responded to a report that the locking mechanism of an office cabinet had been tampered with. No entry was gained; paper and envelope storage only.

11:10 p.m. An Officer and Oberlin Fire Department responded to an alarm malfunction at Asia House. College electricians will repair.

Sept. 11, 12:48 a.m. Officer and Oberlin Fire Department responded to an alarm malfunction at Asia House. Related to alarm malfunction in entry above. System under repair.

12:17 p.m. Officer responded to Stevenson Dining Hall to assist with a temporary employee who was having a seizure. Officer transported victim to Urgent Care for treatment.

11:30 p.m. Officer responded to Kade fire alarm. Oberlin Fire Department could find no direct cause but two room detectors were found bagged.

11:24 p.m. Officer responded to Langston with Oberlin Fire Department to find a smoke detector had been activated by steam from a shower. A heat detector will replace the smoke detector upon repair.

Sept. 13, 10:07 p.m. Officer responded to a fire alarm in Harkness caused by smoking in a student's room. Follow up will be completed by the Loose Ends Coordinator.

Sept. 14, 3:20 p.m. Officer responded to a reported theft of a book bag and lock from a locker in the men's locker room. It was found intact in an adjacent locker.

3:50 p.m. Officer responded to a reported theft of a wallet from a resident's room. Room was left unlocked while resident was absent for just a few minutes. Matter under investigation.

Sept. 15, 9:05 a.m. Officer responded to a report of a student ill at the athletic fields. Student was transported to Student Health.

1:05 p.m. Officer responded to the report of two boxes containing a color monitor and bubblejet printer missing from East Field Storage since stored in May of 1997.

5:38 p.m. Officer responded with Oberlin Fire Department to a smoke detector alarm at Keep Co-op. Cause was determined to be steam from cooking in the absence of operating exhaust fan.

Sept. 16, 7:19 p.m. Officer responded to a report of a missing wallet from a locked locker in Philips Gym men's locker room. Matter under investigation.
