Men's soccer team can be very proud of their teams, its efforts

To the Editor:

(To all OC People involved with the Men's Soccer Team)

I would like to start off by thanking all of my game workers. They did a great job for the men's soccer team, and me, during the season. Nina Thompson (video), Becky Tuch (scorebook), Dave Lin (scoreboard), Jeff Price and Casey Pickett (sideline helpers), my son Ryan for all his efforts, and my office workers Cecily Beane, Eric Shin and Jon Wilson for putting up with me. Thanks also for the FANS! We all really appreciate your support.

I am very proud of the men's soccer team as a whole, for their positive attitude, team camraderie, "never give up" attitude, sportsmanship, and willingess to learn a new and challenging team system-all in the face of a 2-14-1 season. They can be very proud of their team and its efforts. They are all "winners."

I also wanted to express my thanks to the seniors on the team, James Richter, J.T. Engelhardt, Gordon Shoenfeld, Brendan Cody and Sam Krasnow. They provided solid leadership and were great role models for the younger players on the team. I feel very fortunate to have been able to coach each and everyone of them.

I also want to sincerely thank my captains, Sam Krasnow and Brendan Cody, for all their efforts. I have coached for seventeen years and they are two of the best captains I've ever known. They are great motivators, organizers, team leaders, positive energizers, team members and friends-to me and everyone on the team. They will be sorely missed.

Thanks!

-Chris Barker, Men's Soccer Coach

To the Editor:

I wish to thank the Oberlin College Student organizations for their hard work at informing the student body about Oberlin City elections and for their endorsement of my candidacy. A very special thank you to all the voters in the college community for their support.
