You Can Say that Again

"Yes, I'll be leaving the College."

-Pete Peterson
Former head coach of the Oberlin football team, confirming his resignation

Nzinga Broussard

First-year Broussard scored 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting to lead the the women's basketball team to a victory over league rival Allegheny. In addition to her season-high point total, she grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, and made six steals while playing all 40 minutes of the game. Broussard has been an offensive powerhouse for the Yeowomen during the early season, despite her recent introduction to NCAC competition.

This week we looked ahead to the spring and interviewed the men's lacrosse captain. The approach of finals had him a bit flustered.

So, I hear you're the new lacrosse captain.
I am the lacrosse captain.

I hear that's a pretty physical sport.
There is the occasional black and blue marks and some bruises but it's fun.

Is it true that you're called the Danish demon?
I refuse to answer that question.

Okay. What are your feelings about the upcoming season?
I am very excited about this season.

Let's digress. What do you think about the year 2000 bug?
What?

Do you have any idea when the world might end?
Actually, yes. In 2019 there will be no sun spots and a magnetic shift will occur and poles will switch. It is gonna be hell.

What will you do?
I'll be somewhere in northern California or southern Oregon. I will wait there for a Tsunami to come and kill me. I will also be extremely intoxicated.

Let's switch topics. Do you like ice cream?
Yes. Chocolate. Breyer's Chocolate.

How about a favorite TV show?
I really like That 70's Show.

You seem a bit upset. Is anything wrong?
If you make me look bad in this interview, I will kill you.

I see. What are your hobbies?
Well, I really enjoy pottery and I'm having a show to display my work during the last week of the semester.

Is there anything else you'd like to say?
No. That's all.
