NCAC awards bestowed

Three Oberlin College football players were named to the All-North Coast Confrence Team. Wideout senior Felix Brooks-Church was named to the offensive second team while defensive back senior Jason Quinn and wideout senior Anthony Johnson were defensive and offensive honorable mentions respectively.

Brooks-Church, a San Francisco native, broke the all-time NCAC record for receptions this year finished the season with 44 catches for 425 yards and one touchdown. Quinn, who hails from the Bronx, led Oberlin with 93 tackles, two for losses, and four pass break ups. Johnson, a resident of St. Louis, caught 37 passes for a team-high 428 yards and five touchdowns. Johnson also handled kickoff duties for the Yeomen and returned 22 kickoffs for 365 yards.

Brooks-Church had been named to the 1996 and 1997 second team all-NCAC while Johnson was named to the second team in 1997. This is Quinn's first mention as an all-NCAC scholar athlete.

All three will graduate in the spring and will be sorely missed in the upcoming season.
