Off to see the Wizard

Off to see the Wizard: And plenty of people were off to see the Scarecrow, Dorothy and the Tin Man in last week's production of the classic Wizard of Oz. The production, a Winter Term project, highlighted not only student performers but also drew from the pool of local talent. That should explain all the kids running around Wilder last week. The Wizard is one of the more lighthearted shows being performed at the moment, in a season where more thematically serious works are the focus. Though the Wicked Witch did provide some scares, particularly for the younger patrons, it's important to remember that theater can be fun and purely entertaining. (photo courtesy Laura Shepherd)
