COMMENTARY

Question: How has the understaffing at CDS and the mailroom affected your life?

Anique Olivier is a college sophomore::
Um, it really hasn't. I haven't gotten any packages and I don't eat in CDS.

Molly McDonald is a college sophomore:
I got a job at the mailroom to help out.

Elizabeth Tong is a college junior:
It kinda sucks because I am waiting for a package from my mom and I guess I won't get it till next week.

Jeff Harvey is a college junior:
I want to thank Mrs. Love, one of the Stevenson managers, for taking care of the students' needs and getting us orange juice in the mornings.

Christine Braunohler is a college first-year:
My package got to the mailroom on September 2nd. I could see it on the shelf. But because my name wasn't on my mailbox, they wouldn't give it to me. It didn't get to my mailbox until September 12th.

Barbara Munoz is a college sophomore:
I guess the only thing I've noticed is there's a tray jam [in Stevenson].

Beth Sorensen is a college first-year:
My mom overnighted my calculator, but it took a week to get it. Meanwhile, I failed my test.

Michelle Assad is a college senior:
I think that Dascomb's hours are totally inconvenient, and the elimination of breakfast was also really bad because I can't get my coffee in the morning. And Fridays blow because Dascomb closes at three, and everyone has to crowd into Stevenson at night, which is nightmarish. I don't even like eating there. It's a pain in the ass.

Alex Ryan is a college junior:
It irks me to see so much thrown away. I wouldn't call myself an environmentalist but I hate to see so much paper and plastic thrown away.

Laura Pritchard is a college junior:
It would affect my life if someone were sending me packages. But unfortunately no one is.

Marissa Leonino is a college junior:
I'm really upset about the use of disposable dishes. That sucks. It took about 10 years for me to get my Jane magazine. I don't know how I was able to start the school year with these two things working against me. However, I love and appreciate the hard work of those who work for CDS and the mailroom.
