
Dec. 2, 9:00 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a College staff member of possible entry to the food storage room in the basement of Talcott. The door was locked, but wood around the lock plate was missing and the door could not be secured. There was nothing reported missing from the room.
Dec. 3, 11:00 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the loss of her parking tag. The time and place the tag was lost is not known.
Dec. 3, 12:30 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her bicycle from the west side of Harvey. The bicycle, a red women'sSchwinn Breeze one speed, was valued at $50. The bicycle was locked only through the frame and wheel at the time of theft.
Dec. 3, 4:03 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of an injury to her thumb while changing the blade on a mat cutter in Allen Memorial Art Museum. The student was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Dec. 4, 1:01 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member in Wilder Hall of graffiti on the northeast wall next to the Rathskeller and in the bathroom. A work order was filed for cleanup.
Dec. 4, 1:01 a.m. Safety and Security and Oberlin Fire Department units responded to a fire alarm in Wilder Hall. The alarm was activated by discharge from a fire extinguisher.
Dec. 4, 2:20 a.m. Safety and Security and Oberlin Fire Department units responded to a fire alarm in Langston Hall. The alarm was caused by the accidental activation of a pull station.
Dec. 4, 11:03 p.m. Safety and Security and Oberlin Fire Department units responded to a fire alarm in Harvey. The alarm was activated by smoke from cooking.
Dec. 4, 12:51 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of a threatening e-mail from an ex-boyfriend. The incident is being investigated by the Safety and Security Office.
Dec. 5, 2:25 a.m. An officer responded to a request from a concerned student for assistance with a student who was hyperventilating. The student was lying on the ground and talked with officers upon their arrival. The student refused medical treatment at that time.
Dec. 5, 4:52 p.m. An officer transported a student to Allen Memorial Hospital after injuring her wrist the night before, when she fell in her room.
Dec. 6, 12:22 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a resident of Langston Hall of two students involved in a disagreement in a room there. Residential Life and Services was notified.
Dec. 6, 2:16 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a Grounds Department staff member of turfing between Langston and Burton Halls next to the sidewalks. An estimate of damage was reported to be approximately $200.
Dec. 6, 10:43 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of verbal harassment by subjects driving a red sport utility vehicle in the area of Main and Vine Streets. The passenger who made the harassing comments was described as a white male, 17 to 18 years of age, with blonde hair. The Safety and Security Office and Oberlin Police Department are investigating the incident.
Dec. 7, 5:46 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a custodian of an injury to her left wrist when she slipped and fell on a mat just outside the elevator. The custodial supervisor was notified of the accident.
