OC Marijuana Laws Discussed

On Wednesday March 5, four members of the Oberlin staff and a local attorney will come together for an informational panel to shed some light on the College’s rules and regulations and the town’s laws pertaining to marijuana. Associate Dean of Students and Judicial coordinator William Stackman, Director of Residential Life and Services Kim LaFond and Director of Security Robert Jones will detail the workings of the College’s policies, while Professor of Sociology and town prosecutor James Leo Walsh and local attorney Thomas Dougan will provide information on the town’s laws
The panel originally scheduled for December will be the first formal event held by the Oberlin Chapter of the National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws since it was officially chartered over the summer.
“I’ve rescheduled this panel three times, but now that it’s actually going to happen I think it should be really good,” OCNORML activities coordinator Blake Wilder said.
