Cellist Steven Isserlis ’80 and pianist Jeremy Denk ’90 performed in Finney Chapel as part of Oberlin’s Artist Recital Series (ARS). An Oberlin tradition since 1878, the ARS is one of the oldest continuing concert series in the United States. The series features acclaimed performers from across the musical spectrum.
This year’s season begins on November 5 with a performance of music by Ravel featuring faculty harpist Yolanda Kondonassis and a host of Oberlin alumni and faculty including soprano Ellie Dehn ’02 and pianist Spencer Myer ’00. Music lovers may subscribe to the series and see such musicians as cellist Yo-Yo Ma, mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, and the Cleveland Orchestra in concert.
