Rising from the Floods: Community Organizing in Post-Katrina New Orleans
Hip-Hop 101 has invited a number of activists and community organizers who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of Katrina survivors. Each will shed light on a variety of aspects including health care, education, and anti-oppression awareness.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind: No More! Reclaiming Gulf Coast Communities Through Art
Hip Hop 101 wants to give our community the opportunity to share their feelings and responses to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This event will feature student and community art including poetry, photography, music, and much more.

The Sound of Healing: Hope Through Hip-Hop
Hip Hop 101 has invited four very talented MCs from New Orleans. Truth Universal, Soapbox, GPC, and Impulss are expected to bring consciousness to Oberlin's campus through their lycricism and sound unique to NOLA. In addition, representin for the Bay Area, renowned group The Coup will be performing.

Making Waves of Hope: Dancing to Thrive
Hip Hop Conference 2007 comes to a close with a breakdancing show featuring: Massive Monkees, Ill Style Rockers, And What?!, and S.P.A.R.K. Hip-Hop 101 hopes that students and all members of the community will come out for this truley amazing final event that will pay tribute to gulf coast communities who continue to persevere.
