The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Security.

April 11, 4:32 a.m. Oberlin resident reported unknown person(s) had placed a rope from Peters Hall to Tappan Square. Officer reported and the rope was removed from the road.

April 12, 8:05 a.m. Staff from the Art Museum reported vandalism to the vending machines. An officer reported and observed a white chalky substance on the machine. Entry had not been made; vending company was notified.

April 12, 1:42 p.m. Resident of Talcott reported receiving an annoying telephone call. The complainant was advised of several options. No suspects are known at this time.

April 12, 2:42 p.m. Wilder staff reported damage to a vending machine at Wilder Hall. The bottom part of the machine had been pried away. There was no evidence of money or product being taken.

April 12, 6:17 p.m. Officers responded to various locations on campus reference damage caused by the wind storm. Trades personnel were called out to assist. No injuries were reported.

April 13, 12:26 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Fairchild. Upon arrival it was learned students were cooking and smoke from burned food activated the alarm.

April 15, 10:06 p.m. Custodial supervisor reported the theft of a picture from the lobby of South Hall. A check of the dorm was made with negative results. Value of the missing picture is unknown at this time.

April 16, 12:14 a.m. Officers responded to Dascomb upon receiving a complaint of an unwanted person in a student's room. Upon arrival, it was found that the subject had already left the area.

April 16, 6:18 p.m. Officers were requested to assist in transporting an ill student from Johnson House to the hospital. Officer responded and the transport was completed.

April 17, 12:20 a.m. Student staff of Mudd Library reported the theft of a student's computer from Scholar Studies. The computer was valued at between $1500 and $2000. Incident under investigation.
