Town-College Day hits Tappan

Town-College Day was celebrated last Saturday in Tappan Square.

"It was fine," Dye said of the event.

Booths included the one below, where Natalie Slanaina and Shannon Kemper, of Student for a Free Tibet, solicited signatures on a petition.

"It's a wonderful occasion to celebrate the union of town and gown that we so richly enjoyed for years," Al Moran, director of Communications and organizer of Town-College Day, said.

Diehard revelers could stay on Tappan Square to hear Peter Yarrow later in the afternoon, as part of Parents and Family Weekend.
