Men's b-ball stuck in funk

by Dave Bechhoefer

The men's basketball team played hard over Winter Term as the bulk of its season was scheduled for January. The high point of the month was a home win on Jan. 22 against conference rivals Ohio Wesleyan University 76-70.

"[The game] showed we can come together as a team," senior guard Darryl Seldon said.

The other twelve games during January were all losses however, with such scores as 103-59 (against Wittenberg University), 94-60 (against Case Western Reserve University) and 79-51 (against Washington & Jefferson College) glaring painfully amongst the otherwise respectable defeats.

The team is not overly put off by this though. "We have a lot of intensity left for the rest of the season," Seldon said.

The Yeomen have four games left, including a home game against Case Western on Feb. 12 at 7:30. The NCAC tournament starts on Feb. 25.
