March 29, 12:26 a.m. A Safety and Security officer checked the first floor restroom in Harvey for possible flooding. The knob on the sink was found broken and water was spraying. A work order was filed for repairs and a student mopped the water.

March 30, 9:24 p.m. Safety and Security officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Barrows. The cause was medication being sprayed near the detector activating the alarm.

March 31, 10:02 a.m. A Safety and Security officer responded to a fire alarm on the third floor of Barrows. The alarm was activated by a faulty detector. 

March 31, 11:01 a.m. A student reported the theft of items from his vehicle while parked in the Conservatory parking lot. The value of the items totaled $1425.

March 31, 6:42 p.m. A student reported the theft of her Trek 820 bicycle from the west side of the Conservatory. The bicycle was locked at the time of theft and is valued at $350.

April 2, 6:33 a.m. A Safety and Security officer noticed damage to the left front fender of the Safety and Security office vehicle while parked in the security parking lot. The incident is under investigation.

April 2, 3:02 p.m. Safety and Security officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Fairchild in the Co-op kitchen. The cause of the alarm was smoke from burning food.

April 2, 11:30 p.m. A student reported the theft of a bag of kenkey from a kitchen cabinet in the basement of Burton. No replacement value could be given.

April 3, 11:20 a.m. A staff member reported the Sharp microwave missing from the Peters Hall basement lounge. The carousel-style white microwave was valued at approximately $120.

April 3, 10:57 a.m. A student reported the theft of her Mongoose Switchback mountain bike, valued at $250, from the front of Finney Chapel. The bicycle was secured to itself at the time of the theft.

April 3, 9:13 p.m. Two students reported the theft of their bookbags from Philips Gym. A green bookbag containing a towel, swimsuit, goggles, school supplies, ID and key was taken from outside the racquetball courts. A second bookbag, black with green flags containing a CD player, travel bag and clothing was taken from the locker room. Value of the missing items is unknown.

April 3, 10:39 p.m. A staff member reported the theft of three backpacks from various areas in Mudd Library. A dark blue LL Bean containing books and binders was left unattended for a short period of time on the third floor. A green army bag with shoulder straps containing various books was left unattended on a couch on the third floor and a black bookbag containing a large file and books was left unattended for about an hour in a carrel. The black bookbag was later recovered in the third floor elevator.
