Golf Ends First Year

The Oberlin College men’s golf team brought their first season in 27 years to a close last Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Despite finishing last in the conference, the team did have some bright spots, as senior Aditya Malkani finished 21st in the field of 45 with a 79-86 – 165 for 21 over par. His first-day 79 was the low round for the Yeomen, and only 12 golfers registered lower rounds on the weekend.

First-year Thomas King’s 31st-place 86-84 – 170 was the Yeomen’s next-best score. King will look to lead the Yeomen next year as they continue to re-develop Oberlin’s long-dormant golf program.
