Oct. 24, 3:47 a.m.: Custodial staff reported a water leak in the mechanical room at Severance Hall. Manager on call was notified and a work order was placed for repairs.

Oct. 25, 9:11 a.m.: Staff at Cox Administration reported the theft of 5" x 5" orange cubicle clock from an office desk. Also missing is a blue burka from Cox conference room. Value of the missing items is unknown at this time.

Oct. 27, 5:02 p.m.: Officers responded to a robbery alarm at the Oberlin Inn. The desk clerk advised that the alarm was activated accidentally. The alarm was reset.

Oct. 27, 11:45 p.m.: A resident of Barnard reported an odor of marijuana on the first floor. A bong and small amount of marijuana, in plain view, were confiscated and the incident was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Oct. 28, 12:11 a.m.: A resident of Barrows Hall reported an odor of marijuana on the second floor. Officers responded and spoke with occupants of the room in question, who denied smoking marijuana. The incident was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Oct. 28, 1:21 a.m.: Officers were requested to assist with an ill student at Barrows Hall. A student, suffering from an asthma attack, was transported to Oberlin Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.

Oct. 28, 2:30 p.m.: A student reported her bicycle stolen from the west side of Langston Hall. The bike is a Trek 700 Multitrack, teal in color, 21 speed, valued at $400.00. The bicycle was locked at the time of theft.

Oct. 28, 6:00 p.m.: A resident of Langston Hall reported the theft of 150 to 200 various computer and music CD’s, and an electric shaver from his room during Fall Break. The missing items are valued at $1000 - $1200. Oberlin Police Department was notified of the theft.

Oct. 28, 5:47 p.m.: A student reported an odor of marijuana at East Hall on the second floor. Officers responded and while speaking to the occupant, observed a bagged smoke detector. Also observed in plain view were two pipes with an unknown residue, incense, and candles. The items were confiscated. Incident referred to Dean’s Office.

Oct. 29, 12:50 a.m.: Two students reported they each had a backpack stolen from the Oberlin Inn. They advised the backpacks were placed by the coat rack prior to entering the lounge area. The backpacks contained textbooks and notes.
