Nov.
7, 2:12 a.m. A staff member reported vandalism in the basement men’s
restroom of Wilder Hall. Several areas of Wilder were painted with
unknown writings.
Nov.
8, 1:14 a.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department units responded
to a fire alarm at Wilder Hall. An unknown person activated the
pull station located in the DéCafé as they were exiting
the building.
Nov.
8, 1:29 a.m. Officers assisted an intoxicated student to her residence
after being ill at Safer Sex night. A friend agreed to watch over
the student during the night.
Nov.
8, 1:31 a.m. A resident of Barrows Hall requested assistance with
a student ill from alcohol consumption. The student was transported
to Oberlin Medical Center for treatment.

8, 7:25 a.m. A staff member reported vandalism at Langston Hall.
An exit sign cover was missing from the third floor near the mechanical
room and two emergency light fixtures were damaged. A work order
was filed for repairs.

8, 8:45 p.m. A student reported receiving an annoying phone call
in her room. The call was not threatening in nature. Information
was given to the student regarding harassing phone calls and she
was advised to contact the Security Office if another is received.

9, 5:34 a.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a
fire alarm on the first floor of Barrows Hall. It was learned the
alarm was activated by dust from a discharged fire extinguisher.
There was no fire.

9, 9:55 a.m. Assistance was requested for an injured student in
Wilder Bowl. The student fell off his bicycle when the gears slipped
injuring his head and face. The student was transported for medical
treatment.

9, 3:16 p.m. A student reported the theft of $70 from her wallet
which was left unattended in a Conservatory practice room.
Nov.
9, 6:30 p.m. An off-campus student reported receiving an annoying
phone call from an unknown male. The call was not threatening in
nature. The student was advised of the harassing phone call procedures
and to contact Security in the event additional calls are received.

9, 11:38 p.m. Officers responded to Tappan Square to assist with
a student who injured his ankle. The student jumped off a concrete
barrier and landed awkwardly. The student was transported to Oberlin
Medical Center for treatment.

10, 2:08 a.m. Staff at Noah Hall reported vandalism to a third floor
restroom. Shower curtains were pulled down from the rods and toilet
paper rolls were thrown in the toilets. A work order was placed
for clean up.
Nov.
10, 4:30 a.m. An officer on patrol observed graffiti on the west
wall of the Adam Joseph Lewis Environmental Studies Building. The
graffiti was blue spray paint and said “Every night is take
back the night.” A work order was placed for removal.

10, 9:36 a.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to
a fire alarm at Barrows Hall, third floor. The alarm was found to
be caused by a malfunctioning detector.
Nov.
10, 11:03 a.m. Student staff at the Conservatory reported a suspicious
juvenile on the second floor of Robertson. Officers responded and
the subject was chased out the east door of Robertson. The subject
was apprehended on Vine Street. The juvenile was transported to
Oberlin Police Department and charged with criminal trespass.

11, 12:50 a.m. Officers responded to Baldwin to assist a student
having difficulty breathing. The student was transported to Oberlin
Medical Center for treatment.
Nov.
11, 1:30 a.m. Oberlin Police Department units requested assistance
gaining entry to Harkness to investigate a suspicious/unwanted person
complaint at the dorm. Officers responded and the subject in question
was located. After conferring with several students in the building,
the 32-year-old male was charged with criminal trespass.
Nov.
11, 7:42 p.m. Officers were requested to assist a person who had
fallen off her bike at the Oberlin Inn. The subject refused medical
treatment and was released to her mother.
Nov.
13, 7:55 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department units responded
to a fire alarm at Old Barrows, first floor. The cause of the alarm
was found to be smoke from students cooking. The alarm was reset
with no further problems.
Nov.
13, 11:57 p.m. Officers were requested to assist with a student
who burned her hand on hot grease at Dascomb. The student was transported
to Oberlin Medical Center for treatment.
