Jews passed over by CDS

To the Editors:

This past week, campus dining services has almost completely over looked the fact that a large percentage of the student body is Jewish. Those of us who are on the meal plan and choose to keep kosher for Passover (that means not eating anything with bread or bread extracts in it), have had a difficult time finding anything substantial to eat in the dinning halls. It has been especially difficult for people who are vegetarian. Too often was there not a kosher entree available at meals. In past years there has been special options available for people who are keeping kosher for Passover. All I ask is that CDS be more considerate next year when planning their meals (putting out a plate of matza does not count). The DeCafe also should carry some kosher options-at least some matza. If the DeCafe can find the time to call in for a special order of Easter candy then they sure should be able to order some matza.
