The Oberlin Daily--A New Way to Know What's Happening

Oberlin Online, the College's web site, will shed its electronic skin this fall, when the "home page" turns into a "front page" with news stories and features that change daily.

Several sources of on-campus information will be combined in the process. The Observer--the College's faculty and staff newspaper--will no longer exist as a paper publication. The traditional fare of news and feature stories by and about faculty and staff will move online, joined by additional news about students (much of it reported by students), photo-based pieces featuring the campus and community, and information for alumni and parents.

Direct links to a new, web-based message board to comprehensive events listings "will help the new home page reflect the College's rich cultural and intellectual life," says vice president for college relations Alan Moran. "Oberlin Online will be an energetic, ever-changing place where anyone interested in Oberlin can come to find out what the College is all about."

The new Oberlin Online (still at www.oberlin.edu) will be accessible August 24.
