To the Editors:

I have taught at Oberlin for the past 25 years and the Oberlin student never fails to amaze me.

Two of the most interesting and “cutting edge” concerts I attended this semester were completely student generated: The Hildegard of Bingen Winter Term concert and, this past Sunday, the Berio Sequenza concerts.

The level of achievement at the undergrad level in the Conservatory is truly exceptional. One hopes that such achievement will get as much support and recognition as possible.
