Spring folk festival

To the Editors:

The Spring Folk Festival is fast approaching and the Folk Music Club is looking for student acts to perform! This year the festival will be held on May 8, when the weather will hopefully be gorgeous for the planned Tappan Square location.

The headliners are Josh Ritter (OC ‘99), Dave “Honeyboy” Edwards and Laura Veirs, so this is going to be a day of amazing music. We’re looking for music, dance or any folk-based performances. Folk Fest is not just for American folk music; we’d love to have a more international feel this year.

Submissions of audio recordings or descriptions of acts can be dropped off at the Wilder front desk for the Folk Music Club by Sunday, April 11. If you don’t have a current recording, give us whatever you’ve got, and if you don’t have a recording, that’s okay too.

We’re excited to have everyone be a part of this event! Also let us know if you want to help by volunteering your time on the day of the event or by helping us organize it.
