The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

May 11, 10:45 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of computer thefts from Rice and King Buildings. One Dell Laptop computer, valued at $4,845 was taken from an office in Rice Hall, two Dell Laptop computers, valued at over $9,000 and a Macintosh Power Book Laptop computer, valued at $4,045, were taken from an office in King. Matter under investigation. Anyone who may have additional information or purchases a computer of this description should contact Safety and Security at 775-8444.

May 12, 9:09 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a fire alarm on the third floor of Dascomb, west end. Cause was found to be a malfunctioning detector in the hallway.

May 12, 9:44 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to reported theft of a Dell Laptop computer from an office in King. Computer was valued at $3,899. Matter under investigation.

May 12, 11:21 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a theft from the lobby on the third floor of King. Lamp was made of bent metal rods and had a plain beige shade, value is unknown.

May 13, 1:30 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to Dascomb upon receiving a report that a student had cut his forearm and needed medical attention. Student was transported to the emergency room for treatment.

May 13, 12:00 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of damage to the lower part of a door and the deadbolt lock at the Art Department. Matter under investigation.

May 13, 6:18 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a request for assistance with an ill employee at Stevenson Hall. The employee was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment.

May 14, 2:08 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of vandalism on the third floor, northeast wing of South Hall. The window on the door to the lounge was found broken. Matter under investigation.

May 14, 1:44 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a bike theft from the east side of the Conservatory. Bike is a Trek 830, mens, 21 speed, dark blue in color, valued at $350.

May 14, 12:55 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a fire alarm at Saunders storage. The alarm was accidentally activated by an employee.

May 14, 9:55 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a t-shirt on fire outside the northwest entrance of Barrows. The fire was extinguished prior to officers arrival; matter under investigation.

May 15, 12:29 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer, while on patrol, observed a motor vehicle accident at the comer of Lorain and Main Streets. A student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital emergency room for medical examination and released. Report and follow up handled by Oberlin Police Department.

May 14, 3:30 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of theft from the Art Department work shop. Taken were two cordless DeWalt power drills, with a carrying case and valued at $480. Matter under investigation.

May 14, 11:43 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a bicycle accident near South Hall. Student applied bicycle brakes too quickly and was thrown over. Student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of head laceration.

May 15, 10:15 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a theft report from Rice Hall. Taken was an Apple PowerBook laptop computer, valued at $1600. Matter under investigation.

May 16, 9:15 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to reported theft from Mudd Library. Taken were eight compact discs from a book bag. Matter under investigation.

May 17, 4:40 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a disagreement over a movie between two students. Parties had separated prior to officer's arrival.

May 17, 6:31 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a broken door window near the courtyard area at the Conservatory. The glass was accidentally bumped with a scrubber shattering it. A work order was placed for repairs.

May 17, 8:44 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a broken lamp pole outside of Noah Hall just east of the parking lot. The broken globe was cleaned up and a work order was placed for repair.

May 15, 6:30 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of water being thrown on a student, along with a lewd comment being made. Subjects involved were located and the matter was resolved.

May 16, 3:55 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to assist a student who had injured his shoulder while playing basketball. Student was transport to Allen Memorial Hospital emergency room for treatment and released.

May 17, 5:00 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of a theft of money from the men's locker room. Taken was $9 cash from an unlocked locker. Matter under investigation.

May 18, 10:59 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to reported theft of a head board and foot board from the storage area in Old Barrows. Value of items is unknown at this time. Matter under investigation.

May 18, 8:13 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to reported theft of a computer from a room in Burton Hall. No information was available on the computer at this time.

May 19, 11:51 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to report of person who had fallen on the steps on the east side of the Oberlin Inn. Subject was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of lacerations to the face and released.

May 19, 3:06 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a hit skip accident in Wilder parking lot. Damage consisted of two dents to the drivers side of the vehicle. Matter under investigation.

May 19, 4:43 p.m.
Safety and Security Officer, while on patrol, observed a female being chased by two large dogs. It was learned the female had been bitten by one of the dogs. Subject was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment and released. Oberlin Police Department contacted to respond.

May 20, 1:10 a.m.
Safety and Security Officer responded to a report of a powder like substance in the bathroom on the second floor of Dascomb. Powder was found to have come from a discharged fire extinguisher. Work order filed for clean up.
