"Playing Wooster was like running full speed into a herd of buffalo."
Novins holds the all-time goal-scoring record for Oberlin women's soccer with 44, having surpassed the old record of 38 earlier this season. Her 13 goals this year are one away from the single-season Oberlin women's soccer scoring record. She has been an indispensable team leader throughout her career in Oberlin and recently helped the Yeowomen to amass a season-high three-game winning streak. |

IN THE LOCKERROOM WITH...Frisbee First-years
Sarah Miller and Mateo Pastore are first-year students and members of the Praying Manti and Flying Horsecows ultimate frisbee teams respectively.
Miller: I have no base for comparison, so I guess it's good.
Pastore: Umm... I dunno... just put in some witty comment about skipping to the next question.
Miller: No.
Pastore: Not really, outside of the shameless abuse and theft of my jokes.
Miller: A manipulation of my childhood thought of a unicorn. It's quite sad actually.
Pastore: I think it's some kind of a horse-cow hybrid created by team member DQ.
Miller: They're all heroes in my heart.
Pastore: Either John Fedota or Adam Marvel.
Miller: Much more superior and better able to fight crime.
Pastore: I don't think Batman really applies. For John, Mr. Fantastic is more applicable, and for Marvel, he's kinda like Michael Jordan in that he can stick his tongue out quite a ways.
Miller: Jesse 'The Body' Ventura
Pastore: I don't put a lot of value on athletics.
Miller: Yes, of course.
Pastore: Mmmm... no comment.
Pastore: I don't want to be shot in the streets.
Miller: No, but I've always wanted one.
Pastore: It went from Mateo to Muhtato to Mutate-o to El Chupacabra to Chupe... and apparently I look like Marky Mark in 'Boogie Nights' so I'm also called Dirk Diggler.
