The Alumni Class Officers for the graduating class of '99 have now been chosen. The Alumni President of the class of '99 is Peter Lutoski and the Vice President is April Davis.
All Oberlin classes since the beginning of the College's history have had alumni class officers. The basic duties of the officers are to represent their class at the Alumni Council meetings that are held in the fall, and subsequently to mail a letter to each member of their particular class informing them of the events that occurred at the meetings.
The other major responsibility of the class officers is to plan the class's first reunion, which will take place in 2004.
Voting for class of 1999 trustees ends today at 5 p.m. There are eight senior candidates: Ogbeyalu Onumah, Susanna Henighan, Amie Ely, Dan Spalding, Heather Frank, Ijeoma Anusionwu, David Kazimir and Nicole James.
The class trustee will serve for three years beginning in October 1999. They will be required to attend the four Board of Trustees meetings each year, and will act as full voting members of the board.
In these beginning stages seniors were given the option to vote for as many candidates desired. The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be placed on the final ballot which will be mailed to the graduating class this August.
