Sept 30, 9:00 p.m. A staff member reported injuring his back while lifting a 30-foot rug in the Mudd loading dock. Medical treatment was declined.
Sept. 30, 12:13 p.m. An employee at Stevenson Dining Hall reported she slipped behind the serving line injuring both legs from the knees up to her shoulders. The employee was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Oct. 1, 8:15 a.m. A staff member reported the theft of her daughter's bicycle from the south bike rack at Noah Hall. The bicycle, a red NSX Dyno Unisex single speed, valued at $150, was locked at the ime of theft.
Oct. 1, 2:00 p.m. A student reported he was struck by a vehicle. The student was riding his bicycle and crossed the intersection of Professor and Lorain Streets on a green light. A vehicle turning onto Professor struck the student, throwing him from his bicycle. The student, who first thought he was not injured, was treated later at Allen Memorial Hospital for a broken wrist and released.
Oct. 2, 12:40 p.m. A student reported she was grabbed from behind by a male subject while at the laundromat on East Lorain Street. The subject, described as a white male in his forties with meduim height, was wearing a hat, sunglasses, biege shorts and a dark t-shirt.
Oct. 2, 3:45 a.m. A resident of Price reported receiving an obscene phone call from an unknown female. The report is being investigated.
Oct. 3, 10:43 a.m. A resident of South Hall was awakened by a friend who was ill from alcohol. The student was transported to the hospital for treatment and released.
Oct. 3, 11:12 a.m. An employee of Stevenson Dining Hall reported that while cleaning the slicer, she cut her right index finger. The employee was transported to the hospital for treatment and released.
Oct. 3, 10:25 a.m. A student reported the theft of her tote bag from the front seat of her vehicle, which was parked on Elm Street. The tote bag was later turned in to the Safety and Security Office by a student who found the bag on Elm Street. All items were intact.
Oct. 4, 10:22 p.m. A resident of East Hall reported that while she was running to answer her room door, she tripped and sprained her ankle. The student was transported to the hospital for treatment and released.
Oct. 4, 1:30 p.m. A staff member reported a tractor tire secured to the bike rack on the south side of Barnard. The student owner was located and said the tire was being used as part of an art project.
Oct. 5, 8:15 a.m. A safety and security officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Asia House. The alarm was caused by a malfunctioning smoke detector.
