"In the last four games, I donıt think weıve allowed a goal that another team has earned."
Sophomore Goalie Pam Walker allowed just four goals in her last two games, including a 21 save performance in a thrilling double-overtime loss to conference rival Denison University this past Thursday. Walker added a 15 save game against Nazareth College on Oct. 23rd. Throughout the season, her defensive heroics have given the field hockey team a chance to win every one of its games.

One of your teammates reports that you make great cookies." Care to elaborate?
Teammates also noted your constant smile and the positive energy you bring to the team, and we know there was a facial injury this season that limited your ability to smile. Were you likewise upset, and how is the smile doing now?
On a more serious note, what are your feelings about men playing on womenıs field hockey teams when no menıs teams exist?

IN THE LOCKERROOM WITH...Maggie McFalls
Senior Maggie McFalls is a co-captain of the field hockey team. If it helps you to understand some of the following answers, she said it was a really bad time for an interview.
Iım generally anti-hierarchical in [all] sports teams. I hate to be bossing people around. I was a little worried about people looking up to me but we had a positive experience.
I see it as coming full circle. My first year we had a really strong freshman team, all starters. But people found other interests, or they left Oberlin. I think thatıs a problem with Oberlin athletics the retention rate. I see [this year] as a building year; we have a new coach, almost all the freshmen are starters. Hopefully if they stick with it, by the time theyıre seniors the program will be skyrocketing.
Itıs a bracketed tourney and weıre the best team in the least strong bracket so weıll be playing games thatıll be hopefully easy to win. Thatıll be good; we can end the season on a positive note.
We donıt follow recipes, thatıs our big secret and we believe in butter.
It was a really surreal experience, I felt like I was in a horror movie. There was sooo much blood coming out in my peripheral vision I was in shock, so it didnıt hurt, so it was really cool a bunch of the team came over that night and we made it into a positive experience.
That happened in my high school a lot we played a team that had two football players playing sweeper and they had really hard drives. I think it could be really interesting. They do co-ed frisbee and it works well. Within certain guidelines in could be fun. We [women] definitely have a higher threshold for pain though.
I know of a rap song that does thatıs like the closest to mainstream culture it gets.
It would be pornographic. Definitely pornographic.
It would involve baking.
It would involve pumpkins and other baking materials.
