March
7, 12:02 a.m. A Safety and Security Officer on patrol observed two
students climbing up to the roof of Severance. The students came
down, were identified and advised against their actions.
March
8, 1:40 p.m. A resident of Lord reported the theft of a piece of
luggage. The luggage was placed unattended outside the east door
of Lord for a short period of time. The luggage is green tweed in
color with two double pockets on the front and black rollers.

8, 8:30 p.m. A Safety and Security Officer responded to the Asia
House area to assist with a student ill from alcohol consumption.
The student was transported to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

9, 1:27 p.m. A student reported her vehicle was damaged while parked
in Saunders parking lot. Dirt was shoved into the tailpipe of her
vehicle. No further damage was observed.

9, 4:37 p.m. Safety and Security Officers along with Oberlin Fire
Department units responded to a fire alarm on the second floor of
Stevenson dining hall. The cause of the alarm was found to be a
malfunction in the system due to high winds.

9, 11 p.m. A resident of Price Hall reported vandalism to the kitchen
area and second floor bathroom. Sugar was dumped onto the counter
top in the kitchen and the toilet paper holders were torn from the
bathroom and toilet paper was put in the toilets. A work order was
filed for clean-up.

10, 12:55 a.m. Safety and Security Officers responded to a loud
music complaint on the first floor of Dascomb. The music was turned
down and several bottles of alcohol were confiscated.

10, 2:16 a.m. Safety and Security Officers responded to a report
of several students smoking marijuana on the second floor of Burton
Hall. The students had left the area prior to officer's arrival.
March
10, 2:48 a.m. An anonymous female requested officers check on the
well being of a student residing in East Hall. The student in question
was located and found to be O.K.
March
10, 11:46 p.m. A South Hall resident reported a suspicious male
in the lounge of the first floor of South Hall. Officers responded
and the subject said he was visiting a student. The student was
contacted and confirmed the information given.
March 10, 2 p.m. Safety and Security Officers were requested to
assist with a student who injured his finger while playing field
hockey at Philips Gym. The student was transported to Urgent Care
for treatment.

11, 4:49 p.m. A student reported the theft of her bicycle from the
front of the Conservatory. The bicycle is a purple Huffy, 10 speed,
valued at $40. The bicycle is registered with the Oberlin Police
Department.

11, 10:15 p.m. A student reported the theft of her Phoenix bicycle
from the south side of Dascomb Hall. The bicycle is gray in color,
men's 3 speed, has a big blue seat and blue handlebars. The bicycle
is registered with the Oberlin Police Department.

12, 5:57 a.m. Safety and Security Officers and the Oberlin Fire
Department responded to a fire alarm in the basement of Burton Hall.
Upon arrival, residue from several discharged fire extinguishers
was found, along with broken florescent light tubes and eggs thrown
against the wall. A work order was filed for clean up. The incident
is under investigation.

12, 3:51 p.m A resident of Burton Hall reported finding an empty
syringe stuck in a bulletin board. A Safety and Security Officer
responded and the syringe was properly disposed of.

12, 9:51 p.m. Safety and Security Officers responded to a loud music
complaint at Langston Hall. The party responsible was located and
advised of the complaint.
