Friday, Sept. 13, 12:39 a.m. Officers were requested to assist off-campus with an ill student. The student was transported to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

Friday, Sept. 13, 12:02 p.m. A staff member reported a preacher soliciting in Wilder Bowl. The subject was located and explained the College policies. He then left the area.

Friday, Sept. 13, 11:04 p.m. A staff member reported students taking alcohol into a room in Burton Hall. Officers made contact with the students and advised them of College policies. The host was advised individuals must depart the room and all alcohol must be removed. The incident was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Saturday, Sept. 14, 12:00 a.m. An unknown subject reported a fight outside of Wilder Hall. Officers responded and upon approaching, the group dispersed. A check of events taking place in Wilder Hall was made and all found to be okay.

Saturday, Sept. 14, 11:17 p.m. Safety and Security Officers responded to a report of an unauthorized party at Harkness. Staff were contacted and responded to assist in closing down the party.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 12:56 a.m. A staff member reported a student punched a hole in the wall at the DéCafé. Officers responded and attempted to locate the person responsible with negative results.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 2:13 a.m. An officer was requested to transport a student from Oberlin Medical Center to Langston Hall. The student reported injuring his left elbow after jumping from a curb and landing on his elbow in the street.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 12:32 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disagreement between two subjects at Price Hall. Officers conferred with parties involved and found the two had an argument. Both parties reported everything to be okay when officers departed.

Sunday Sept. 1, 5:36 p.m. A request was received from Langston Hall to assist with a student who passed out. Officers responded and located the student who advised she was doing a dance workout, became light headed and passed out. A request for medical attention was declined at the time.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 10:56 p.m. A resident of Kade reported the smell of a controlled substance on the second floor. Officers responded and located the student responsible. The incident was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Monday, Sept. 16, 4:35 a.m. A resident of South Hall reported a subject spray painting a freezer in the loading dock area of South. Upon arrival, officers observed two male subjects run from the area. The incident is under investigation.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 12:15 a.m. A student reported his bicycle missing from the bike racks on the east side of Mudd. The bicycle is a tall, Schwinn Traveler III, blue in color, single speed road bike. The bicycle was not registered with the City.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 11:17 p.m. A student reported her bicycle missing from outside the DeCafe. The bicycle is an older model Sears brand Schwinn, with a red and white seat, white and chrome in color and a purple basket. Value of the bicycle is unknown.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 11:37 p.m. A resident of South Hall reported a male subject outside Fairchild yelling and swearing. The non-college male subject, who was accompanied by students, was located and warned of his actions. At 1:13 a.m. a second complaint was received. Oberlin Police Department also responded and the subject was charged with Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 6:12 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Harkness. The alarm was caused by steam from cooking.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 9:40 p.m. A resident reported rooms in Langston Hall with bagged smoke detectors. Officers responded and met with occupants of the rooms. The smoke detectors were un-bagged and occupants advised of the seriousness of their actions.

Wednesday, Sept. 18, 7:48p.m. An officer while on patrol located obscene graffiti written on the floor of the bandstand in Tappan Square. The graffiti was removed.
