Open to anyone who loves to write. Twice a month, The Plum Creek Review staff organizes a write in, a collaborative writing project with either a shared or individual prompts.
Designed as an outlet for student writing on campus, once a month, we set up a public reading. This can either be something written in the write-ins or something completely different.
The Plum Creek Review believes that self-expression is a valuable thing. That's why we've partnered with the Murray Ridge-Oberlin College Alliance (MROCA) to bring creative writing classes to people with developmental disabilities at the Murray Ridge Center. These people have amazing stories and together with MROCA we are giving them the tools and the confidence to tell them.
Last semester's workshops were a huge success! This semester we want to expand the program to more classes in more locations in Lorain County. But we can't do it without volunteers! You don't have to be a part of The Plum Creek Review or MROCA to help out. Contact us at plum.creek@oberlin.edu if you want information on how to get involved.
