A Bowl Full of Memories 01 July 2013
Wilder Bowl is the heart of campus, a large, open grassy area surrounded by trees and dotted by benches. Almost every student passes through it daily to get to a class. Many use the space to toss a Frisbee, catch a snooze, read, and connect with friends.
Other times Wilder Bowl is a place for quiet reflection, such as when these miniature flags filled the space. The flags represent all the countries that lost citizens on September 11, 2011. The silent memorial allowed campus members to pause from the hustle and bustle of collegiate life and remember others outside this intimate community.
