The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Security.

Sept. 26, 10:31 p.m. A Campus Security Officer transported a Wilder Hall employee to the Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of burns. The employee sustained the burns as she handled a pot of hot water.

Sept. 27, 12:16 p.m. A Campus Security Officer transported a student who swallowed a metal tab to the Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment.

1:25 p.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to a report of graffiti written on the bathroom walls on the main level men's restroom of Wilder Hall.

8:36 p.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at East Hall. The alarm was activated by the heat from a hair dryer.

Sept. 28, 2:54 a.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Oberlin Inn. The alarm was activated by a detector on the second floor. No cause for activation was identified.

3:41 a.m. A Campus Security Officer transported a student to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment. Injury was sustained when the student fell off his bicycle.

Sept. 29, 8:59 a.m. A Campus Security Officer spoke to students who reported that they were verbally harassed by white males (possibly teenagers) while in front of Finney Chapel on September 28, 1996 at approximately 10:00 p.m. The vehicle was described as a small, gray, four door, possibly a Toyota Tercel. The victim also spoke with Oberlin Police Department.

6:37 p.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to Mudd to meet with a student who reported the theft of a navy blue Eddie Bauer backpack from a study carrel on the second floor. A search of the area was made, but the backpack was not located.

Sept. 30, 9:51 a.m. A Campus Security Officer transported a student to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment after she had fallen down the stairs of Bibbins in the Conservatory and injured herself.

3:18 p.m. A Residential Life staff reported unauthorized entry into her apartment. Officer responded and gathered information. Follow-up to be completed.

3:51 p.m. A Campus Security Officer assisted with the removal of an unauthorized person using Philips Gym.

Oct. 1, 8:21 p.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm from Baldwin Hall. It was learned smoke from burning sage activated the alarm. No damage. Alarms were reset.

Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996 a lighting walk was coordinated on campus to access lighting.

The Safety and Security Community Service Officer continues to present crime prevention/safety awareness on campus.
