The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Oct. 19, 11:50 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a vending company employee of vandalism to a vending machine at Zechiel and another one in Burton. The estimate of missing products and damage is unknown.

Oct. 20, 10:27 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member at Wilder of several games broken into in the Game Room. There was approximately $250 in damage to the machines and an estimated $500 in quarters taken. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office and Oberlin Police Department.

Oct. 20, 8:42 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Barrows. The alarm was caused by smoke from burning oil.

Oct. 22, 11:30 a.m. An officer on routine patrol located damage to the main south entrance doors at the Environmental Studies Building. A work order was filed for repairs.

Oct. 22, 9:01 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Mudd. The alarm was caused by a malfunctioning detector.

Oct. 22, 11:00 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of an injury to the head. The staff member had hit his head on something in the mechanical room at the Conservatory. Medical treatment was later received at Allen Memorial Hospital Urgent Care.

Oct. 23, 6:43 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Talcott. The alarm was caused by smoke from burning bacon.

Oct. 23, 4:10 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of a couch missing from the lounge at Barrows. The couch is a tan and maroon leaf pattern with mahogany arm rests.

Oct. 23, 5:20 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Asia House. The alarm was caused by cigarette smoke.

Oct. 24, 11:50 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Asia House. The alarm was caused by a malfunctioning detector.

Oct. 24, 5:30 p.m. An officer responded to a request from a parent of a student for assistance in locating her son whom she could not reach. The student was reached and asked to call his parents.

Oct. 24, 6:39 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the accidental breakage of the window in her bedroom. The maintenance technician responded and secured the window.

Oct. 24, 7:55 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student staff member at Wilder Hall of a video game broken into in the Game Room and the change box emptied. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office and Oberlin Police Department.
