Feb. 15, 3:35 p.m. Safety and Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Dascomb. The alarm was activated by smoke from burnt food.

Feb. 15, 8:29 p.m. A student reported a theft from her vehicle while it was parked in Saunders parking lot. The face plate to the stereo was missing along with some change. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 16, 7:56 a.m. An officer responded to assist a staff person who had fallen injuring her knee, back and striking her head in Carnegie. Medical treatment was declined at the time of the incident. 

Feb. 16, 8:56 a.m. A faculty member reported falling on ice in front of Gray Gables parking lot. He was treated for an injury to his elbow.

Feb. 17, 4:45 a.m. While on patrol, an officer observed piled furnitureand scattered cushions thrown in Langston Hall.

Feb. 17, 6:07 p.m. While on patrol, an officer found a window broken on the southeast exterior door of the Allen Art Building. The glass was cleaned and a work order filed for repair.

Feb. 17, 5 p.m. A resident of Fairchild reported something possibly burning on the second floor of Fairchild. A check of the area was made and nothing located.

Feb. 17, 7:02 p.m. A student reported a burning odor near the south end of East Hall. Officers responded and found a burned motor on a washing machine in the laundry room.

Feb. 17, 8:13 p.m. A student reported her red leather wallet missing from Philips Gym. The wallet was later located and returned to the owner.

Feb. 17, 1:30 p.m. A student reported thta a suspicious person entered her residence without authorization. The unknown male said he entered the wrong residence and left the area. Oberlin Police Department was notified. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 18, 11 a.m. A resident of Langston reported furniture stacked in the elevator. The furniture was removed and the elevator was turned off.

Feb. 18, 10 p.m. A student reported her wallet stolen while she was at the West Side Market in Cleveland. The incident was reported to the Cleveland Police Department.

Feb. 20, 11:50 a.m. A student reported the theft of her parking sticker from her vehicle while it was in Field House parking lot.

Feb. 20, 9:15 p.m. A student reported the theft of his bookbag and keys from his locker in Philips Gym. The bookbag was gray in color and contained textbooks and art supplies.

Feb. 21, 1:13 a.m. A student reported the theft of her wallet from the ‘Sco. The pink cloth wallet containing keys, $29 in cash and a driver’s license was put in her coat pocket and left on a table.

Feb. 21, 1:23 a.m. A student reported the theft of her black wallet from her coat pocket. The coat was left on a table in the ‘Sco.
