So began the Oberlin Review's May 9 article about the 1997 North Coast Athletic Conference's champs--the women's lacrosse team. More details of the Yeowomen's successful season can be found in the July issue of Around the Square, where you can also find news of the women's tennis team, which finished second in the NCAC championships.
The men's and women's Ultimate Frisbee teams--the Flying Horsecows and Praying Manti--made it to the national championships, held May-June 1 in California. Official word on the results was unavailable at press time, but reports posted on Ultimate web sites indicate both teams were out of the running by day two.
