SFC is composed of 12 committee members (5 are non-voting). Non-voting members work closest with funds, students, etc. and are not allowed to vote in order to prevent biases from swaying major decisions regarding groups. No SFC member is allowed to hold an officer position in any other student group.
Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer
The SFC treasurers are primarily responsible for efficiently managing the entire committee by ensuring that the committee, student treasurers, advisors, etc. understand organizational policies. The treasurers are policy historians and educators. They are present at every meeting and office hour and spend most of their time making sure that everyone involved understand the SFC’s purpose and how the organization can be used to access student activity funding.
Controller/Treasurer (C/T) Liaison (w/ Assistant)
C/T Liaisons are the form processors. They, along with the treasurers, process forms. They keep track of student organization spending, work with the controller’s office to ensure continuity of records, and review numbers with student treasurers to ensure that the SFC records match those of each organization. C/T’s are present at 2-3 of the weekly office hours and complete the rest of their work in their own time.
Office Manager
The office manager is in charge of physically managing the office itself. This includes filing processed forms, e-mails sent both to committee members and to organizations (i.e. mass e-mails, dates/deadlines, office hour changes, meetings, etc.). The manager is also in charge of making sure the office has what it needs in order to run efficiently, scheduling, and loose ends. The office manager is required to attend 2-3 office hours a week and complete the rest of his/her duties in his/her own time.
Tech Manager
The SFC tech manager’s main task is to make sure that the student body has access to up to date SFC decisions and information through the maintenance of our website. In this way, the tech manager will also help the office manager and the treasurers. The tech manager also works with OCTET and CIT to make sure that the SFC office equipment is functioning well.
Voting Committee Members (7)
Voting members are selected by the Student Senate. They are present at 1 (general members) or 2 (co-chairs) office hours a week, along with weekly ad-hoc and general meetings that involve the entire committee each week.
There are two co-chairs. The committee co-chair organizes the committee members and is the committee member go-to for policy questions. This co-chair I elected by the SFC from the chosen committee members selected by senate. The senate co-chair is a liaison between Student Senate and SFC. This position ensures that both parties are aware of what the other is doing and is elected by the Student Senate.
