Dec. 1, 1:09 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her bicycle from Wilder Hall. The bicycle, a maroon Free Spirit, three speed, with compressible baskets, is valued at $45. Dec. 1, 8:45 p.m. An officer responded to assist a guest at the Oberlin Inn who was having problems with a defibrillator. The guest was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment. Dec. 2, 9:21 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of furniture stacked to the ceiling in the main lounge of South Hall. The furniture was returned to its proper place. Dec. 2, 5:30 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of graffiti spray painted on the walls in Hales Gym Art Studios and basement stairwells. A work order was placed for clean-up. Dec. 3, 12:25 a.m. An officer transported a student from Barrows Hall to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of a leg injury caused by falling on a snow/ice-covered sidewalk. Dec. 3, 10:20 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a resident of Barnard of a large party in the dorm. The party was closed down. Dec. 4, 12:24 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of a College-owned saxophone from the Conservatory. The Sax is a silver Conn and the value is unknown. Dec. 4, 10:00 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of vandalism in South Hall front lobby. Several ceiling tiles were removed or pushed up into the ceiling, a section of carpeting was torn and a windowpane was broken in the southeast corner of the lobby. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office. Dec. 4, 10:45 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of a tan couch with a leaf print from the main lounge in Barrows Hall. Dec. 5, 9:20 a.m. An officer transported a student from Cox to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of an injury to her ankle after falling from her bicycle. Dec. 5, 1:25 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the fourth floor of Mudd. A malfunctioning duct detector activated the alarm. Dec. 6, 12:20 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a resident of East Hall of several harassing phone calls.
