Rand Unwelcome

To the Editor:

The latest communiqué from the Ayn Rand Institute, Edwin Locke’s “Greatness has Faded From the American Presidency,” truly had nothing to do with Oberlin College. The least this cultish, “respectable” version of the John Birch Society could have done is gotten one of their local Intellectual Activist students to copy the article and attach his or her name. The Review’s Perspectives page is supposed to be filled with petty, adamantly PC rants by Oberlin students, not political grandstanding by some pinheaded old schmuck from Maryland. If I want to read Rand’s disciples’ rants, I’ll find their website.
