Oberlin: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow...

Chapter 14

Oberlin's Future

Oberlin has changed in many ways since its start in 1833. Do you think any of the first settlers would have predicted what our Oberlin of today is like?

As Oberlin approaches its Bicentennial in 2033, we can think about what changes we think our children and grandchildren will find. We can think about what we can do to keep Oberlin a place that they will choose for their homes. We can work to make it even better.

Reflections

What would you like to preserve about today's Oberlin? Explain.

What changes would you like to see in Oberlin's future? Explain.

What changes do you hope will never occur in Oberlin? Explain.

Draw the message or illustration you would like to see on a Tappan Square rock.
