So, you wanna teach an ExCo...

You'll need to fill out some forms first. All of these are in Microsoft Word format for your printing pleasure. To start you off, here's a checklist (similar to this page) which you may also download to keep track of what you need to do. You should hopefully fall under one of these four categories:

If your ExCo is media based (TV-shows or movies), Read this:

New Instructor, New Class

You've never taught an ExCo before and, appropriately, this class has never been taught before. Welcome!

1) Read the new course proposal guidelines.

2) Fill out a new course application.

3) Fill out an instructor application.

4) Fill out a budget request form if your course will need money.

5) Hand in a copy of your syllabus (see How To Write a Syllabus down below)

6) Supply two recommendations:

- If you are a student, supply one faculty recommendation and one general recommendation.

- Otherwise, please supply two general recommendations.

7) Get in touch with us to set up an interview.

New Instructor, Old Class

You've never taught an ExCo before but you're takin' over this one. You're on your way to the top, baby. The top!

1) Fill out a course renewal form.

3) Fill out an instructor application.

2) Fill out a budget request form if your course will need money.

3) Hand in a copy of the course syllabus.

5) Supply two recommendations:

- If you are a student, supply one faculty recommendation and one general recommendation.

- Otherwise, please supply two general recommendations.

6) Get in touch with us to schedule an interview.

Old Instructor, New Class

You're so good at teaching ExCos, you've decided to teach another one! Good for you.

1) Fill out a new course application.

2) Fill out a budget request form if your course will need money.

3) Fill out an instructor application.

4) Hand in a copy of your syllabus (see How To Write a Syllabus below).

5) Get in touch with us to schedule an interview.

Old Instructor, Old Class

Not only have you taught an ExCo before, you just got done teaching this one, for crying out loud.

1) Fill out a course renewal form.

2) Fill out a budget request form if your course will need money.

3) Hand in your trusty ol' syllabus.
