Dec. 7, 4:15 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her Giant Sedona 21-speed bicycle from the west side of King. The bicycle is teal with handlebar extensions and an extra high seat.

Dec. 8, 3:12 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff person at Kettering of a small fire in a biology classroom. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries.

Dec. 8, 3:49 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff person in the Admissions Office of a burning odor in the office. The Smoker's Outpost on the north side of the building was found smoldering, causing the odor.

Dec. 9, 11:30 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of obscene messages on her door. The student was advised of her options and told to contact Security immediately if any further messages were left.

Dec. 9, 11:47 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff person of a large portion of main lounge in South Hall vandalized. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office.

Dec. 9, 2:58 p.m. An officer transported a student to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of an injury received during a snowball fight.

Dec. 10, 11:50 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of vandalism to several areas in South Hall. Spray paint was observed on the north doors and in the Rudd section. Nine instances of spray painted walls and windows were observed and several ceiling tiles were found smashed. The incident is under investigation by the Safety and Security Office.

Dec. 11, 11:08 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Barrows Hall, third floor. The alarm was activated by smoke in the detector.

Dec. 12, 1:15 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of two books from her art project located in Fisher Hall. One book is titled "Fix Me" and the other is "Touch Me." The books are valued at $250.

Dec. 13, 3:00 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her purple Raleigh bicycle from the south side of Severance Hall. The bicycle is valued at approximately $230.
